Issue 6: The New Wave of Filmmakers

Writing this letter has not come easy and maybe that, in itself, is a reflection of where we are right now. There has been a lot happening, both personally and within the industry we love so much. And yet, in the midst of it all, one thing has remained constant: YOU, our LEWATLE community.

Thank you for your continued support and belief in what we are building. Making this issue was a challenge. There is a certain pressure that comes with keeping on, you want to do better, be more, say more. I can’t believe we’re on the 6th one.

Our cover stars are four individuals who embody the future of storytelling in film and television in Africa. Ntokozo Mlaba, Naledy Selepe, Letlhogonolo Masipa and Tshepiso Jeme are creatives who are redefining what it means to take up space in the industry.
